Teens read quality literature for both fun and detail and then compete against each other in a trivia contest about these titles. The Advanced Battle of the Books is for Longwood Public Library cardholders in grades 9-12. We focus on 3 books, with practices beginning in November and the final competion taking place in the Spring. The Summer Battle of the Books is for Longwood Public Library cardholders who are entering grades 6-9. We focus on 8 books and practice all summer for the final competition in August! The Winter Battle of the Books is only for Longwood Public Library teens. Teens in grades 5-8 read 3 books and compete against each other in a triva contest that takes place at the Longwood Public Library. |
