Library Expansion/Renovation

The Longwood Public Library is endeavoring to expand and renovate our facility, built in 1987. An Existing Conditions Report was prepared by Sandpebble Builders in March 2011. In the spring of 2011, the Library formed a Building Committee composed of staff, trustees, and Friends of the Library. Two charrettes were held in the summer of 2011 to seek input from the Longwood community. A Building Program was prepared by Aaron and Alex Cohen, library planning consultants. A design team including Peter Gisolfi Associates as architects and Strunk\Albert Engineers was selected in August 2011. The design team has begun meeting to develop a schematic design for the project.

If you would like more information about the project, please contact Suzanne Johnson, library director, at 924-6400, ext. 275.
